The camp site is less than 15 minutes drive from the popular seaside resorts of Sidmouth, Seaton, Branscombe and Lyme Regis
NEARBY PUBS
The farm is only a couple of miles from The Hare and Hounds, a bustling, rural pub famous for its carveries. The nearby towns of Honiton, Seaton and Sidmouth also have a wide selection of local watering holes
GOLF
Honiton Golf Club is an 18 hole course about 2 miles from the camp site and offers reasonable green fees.
HORSE RIDING
Situated only a couple of miles away Devenish Pitt are BHS approved for horse riding. Beginner and experienced riders can enjoy the wonderful East Devon AONB countryside from horseback.
FISHING
The seaside town of Lyme Regis offers a selection of charter fishing excursions, or rent your own boat at Beer!
NORMAN LOCKYER OBSERVATORY
Only 5 miles from our campsite this small observatory was built in 1912 by an amateur astronomer, the Norman Lockyer Observatory is open on various date throughout the year for star gazing.
SHOPPING
The historic market town of Honiton is only 10 minutes away by car and has two markets a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. We are also only half an hour from the county capital of Exeter (train service available from Honiton).
WALKING AND CYCLING
Being very near the 'Jurassic Coast' there are is a whole scope of coastal walks and inland cycling routes; the nearest being only a stone's throw from our camp site (see below).
We have a variety of laminated 'hiker friendly' local walks available to loan, for free for site users: just ask at reception.
We are also less than a mile from the East Devon Way a very popular and well-known local excursion.
Other Places of Interest
-Seaton Wetlands - Is a freshwater grazing marsh, with scrapes, ditches and ponds that attract considerable wildlife interest.

CAMPSITE WALKS
Walks through the country lanes and bridleways are to be enjoyed, but best of all is the farm walk and talk given by Gerald (usually on Sundays) as he strolls around to see the stock, spotting what nature has to offer, varying with the seasons.
